Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Infinite Banking Concept?
IBC is a financial strategy that uses a specially designed whole life insurance policy as your personal banking system. Instead of sending your money to a bank or brokerage, you build cash value inside a dividend-paying whole life policy — and then borrow against that cash value to finance your life's needs. Your money keeps compounding while you use it. You pay yourself back instead of paying a bank.
Is this the same as regular whole life insurance?
No. A generic whole life policy and a Specially Designed Life Insurance Contract are structurally different. The difference is in how the policy is designed — specifically, how it's structured to maximize the cash value you can access rather than the death benefit. Most insurance agents don't know how to build these contracts correctly. I do.
Is IBC right for everyone?
No — and I'll tell you that honestly. IBC works best for disciplined savers who are consistently putting away at least $2,000 a month. If you're not at that level yet, IBC may not be the right starting point, and I won't try to make it fit.
What does it cost to work with you?
The first conversation is free. If we decide to move forward, I design a policy specifically for you — the cost is the premium you fund into your own policy. I don't charge consulting fees. My compensation comes from the insurance company, which means my incentive is to design the best possible policy for you, not the most expensive one.
How long does it take to get started?
The first conversation is usually 60 to 90 minutes via Zoom. If we decide IBC is a fit, I design a contract and walk you through it. The underwriting and approval process typically takes a few weeks depending on the insurance company.
Do you work with people outside your area?
Yes. I work with clients across the country via Zoom.
Where can I learn more before we talk?
Start with my book — Why the Rich Don't Die Broke, available on Amazon and Audible. It covers the fundamentals in plain language and will give you a solid foundation before our first conversation.
